Hey, my name is Shaun, the founder of Elodie's Contracting Services. My journey into the world of contracting began with a personal project - renovating my basement into a secondary suite. It was my first significant home renovation so I partnered with a general contractor recommended by a friend. Little did I know that this project would become a never-ending nightmare.

The experience was riddled with hidden costs, elusive answers from unreliable contractors, and a compromised quality that left me disheartened. I found myself in constant disputes with the very person I had entrusted with my vision and wanted to get the project done and over with, even with a sub-par completion quality.

After this experience I decided to take matters into my own hands and started learning some skills so that I could do the work myself, or find more reliable connections to complete more trade-specific tasks. From there I started helping friends and family with different home renovation projects.
