We removed the poor workmanship, corrected the water damage and brought in a lot more light into the space. There’s always something that comes up when you’re renovating a space! We’re currently doing a bathroom renovation for one of our repeat customers. There was an acrylic shower surround that was covering this window. The contractor who did this bathroom renovation last covered this window and we think just tried pretending it wasn’t there. When we tore out the shower we found a window and additionally we found this water damage and rotten wood. We redid this entire framing with new lumber and put in Insulation with a new vapour barrier. Luckily the remaining of the floor and surrounding framing to this wall was in good condition. No matter how prepared you are for a renovation you will always get caught off guard with something! Make sure you hire a good contractor that will do the right thing by telling you that this sort of thing is beneath your walls. Many contractors may see this and just cover it up without wanting to deal with the hassle. The old carpet was pretty worn down and in rough shape. The place presents a lot better now and is ready for sale at a higher price. Yes we do carpet cleaning! This customer didn’t think his carpets were too dirty and if you look at the before pictures you’d assume the same wouldn’t you? Carpet can be a breeding ground and collection point for the worst of what our homes create. Our commercial cleaners will pre-condition the carpets with child and pet friendly products. We then use a method called hot water extraction to lift the dirt out of the carpet. Hot water shoots down onto the carpet and helps loosen the dirt and the vacuum pulls it all out. A walkthrough of a legal basement suite we built in the SE of Calgary Alberta. Our customer had an unfinished basement in their home that they wanted to turn into an asset instead of storing their kids toys! We were brought in and developed the space into what you see now. Everything from the architecture drawings to the final permit completion was handled by us. This allowed the customer to be completely hands-off at their request. There’s a lot that goes into a project of this size. Ensuring you have the right professionals working for you is key. Although we aren’t the only great company you could hire there’s plenty of bad ones. We did a few additional things like cleaning up the wiring on the panel, corrected illegally vented dryer, cleaning the furnace, vent cleaning and window well expansion. This was in addition to the basement development we did as well. The customer let us colour coordinate/design everything and we are quite happy with the way it turned out.
